How Alesca Life is changing Dubai’s agricultural landscape

Dubai and the #UAE have taken massive strides to support start-ups and innovators working in #FoodSecurity and #Agritech through various initiatives such as Dubai Future Accelerators (DFA), the Dubai #FoodTech Valley and the Mohammed Bin Rashid Innovation Fund.

One such start-up is AlescaLife, which specialises in #verticalfarms and farm management software. Founded in Beijing in 2013, it expanded to Dubai in 2016 as part of DFA’s Cohort 1. It was named the 2020 #UNSDG Champion and 2019 Technology Pioneer by the World Economic Forum.

Supporting firms like Alseca Life, which is also a member of the MBRIF, is one of the ways #Dubai helps the #UAE achieve its National Strategy for Food Security, which aims to enable the country to top the Global Food Security Index by 2051.
