UAE Government invests billions in aerospace to diversify its economy and inspire Emirati youth

The UAE has invested US $22 Billion in growing its aerospace industry in just three years (since 2017) as part of its quest to become a leading state in the space sector. As a result, space tech companies like Precious Payload, an online service helping teams plan and execute missions to launch satellites to space, are taking off in Dubai. Founder and CEO, Andrey Maksimov, talks about aerospace and key projects such as Mars Hope Mission, Hazza Al Mansouri’s eight-day stay at the International Space Station and job creation.
“By investing into the space industry, you actually invest into your youth. In fact, the UAE has created 1,500 jobs far. The government is also supportive of international companies wanting to open up regional headquarters here.” Dubai is also to host the International Astronautical Congress (IAC) 2020, the number one space conference around the world.
