Dubai-based Junkbot’s DIY robotic kit STEAMs ahead with EdTech focus

Ehtesham P A, Co-founder and CEO, Junkbot, launched the business to educate children on STEAM concepts with Junkbot’s DIY robotic kit that transforms household objects into working robots.
A great example of a public private partnership, DEWA and Junkbot also partnered to provide 500 schools with hardware to learn analytical thinking, problem solving, prototyping, lateral thinking and engineering by building robots in their own design.
The UAE government is investing US$ 2.27 billion to boost innovation in education by 2021, presenting growth opportunities for the EdTech sector expected to cross US$ 40 million by 2022 at a CAGR of 18.3% from 2018.
